Sustainability Course Offered in the WGSD

Due to the positive feedback we received from staff participating in the fall sustainability course, we are again partnering with Webster University to offer another course in sustainability.  The course, which will begin on January 8, will support staff members with embedding the principles and issues of sustainability in their curricula, roles, etc.  Please see the course description below or in the attachment above.
Staff members will be able to take this course for one salary credit or for one hour of graduate credit ($115).  Stipends are not available.
If you are interested in participating, please complete the attached pd application form and return it to Shari Meyers at Central Office by Friday, December 21.  If you will be taking the course for graduate credit, please include a check for $115 made out to the “Webster Groves School District.”
Course Description:
Hurricanes, tornadoes, market crashes, food systems...the challenges and relevance of generating solutions for a sustainable future rest on the shoulders of our
students. Schools can help prepare them.
Participants in this course will learn how to easily integrate, embed, and/or infuse their curriculum with the principles and issues of sustainability. Attend with a team from your department or school for maximum benefit.
